| End Local Option Sales Tax Negotiations |
| This legislation, if passed in a statewide referendum, would amend the constitution to end city/county negotiations on Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) and require all LOST revenues to be applied to reducing the property tax bill. LOST would be split between counties and cities based upon population and the county would use its share to reduce property taxes in the unincorporated area. The property tax dollar savings from LOST would have to be shown on each property tax bill. |
